Mission CRS-11: the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft has reached the International Space Station
A little while ago the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft was captured by the robotic arm Canadarm2 on the International Space Station. Jack Fischer, assisted by his colleague Peggy Whitson, managed the operation then started moving the Dragon to the berthing point at the Harmony module. The cargo spacecraft blasted off last Saturday.
The return of two astronauts from the International Space Station marks the end of Expedition 51
A little while ago the astronaut Thomas Pesquet and the cosmonaut Oleg Novitskiy returned to Earth on the Soyuz MS-03 spacecraft, that landed without problems in Kazakhstan. The two of them spent more than six months on the International Space Station, where they arrived on November 20, 2016 as part of Expedition 50.
Mission Orb-7 accomplished: the Orbital ATK Cygnus spacecraft has reached the International Space Station
The Orbital ATK Cygnus spacecraft, launched on April 18, has just reached the International Space Station and was captured by Canadarm2 robotic arm. Astronaut Peggy Whitson, assisted by her colleague Thomas Pesquet, will soon begin the slow maneuver to move the Cygnus until it docks with the Station’s Harmony node after about two hours.
